Suture ammonite pendant with oak leaves and gemstones

This necklace is inspired by the textures and colors found in the gorgeous stone. It's a suture ammonite fossil. They always remind me of autumn and the colors that go with it. The textures and colors are reflected in this necklace with a teardrop serpentine hanging below this fossil. The necklace features oak leaves, reflecting the patterns in the stone as well and the leather cord matches the dark browns of the stone. The greens in the necklace are vibrant vesuvianite - another green that I just love. One of my favorites. The whole necklace is a tribute to the coming fall. It is completely handmade and a one of a kind piece.

The necklace portion is made partially from hand fabricated oak leaves and then two vesuvianite stones sit where the suede leather cord starts. The length is 18 inches.

Ammonite is often used for stability in life. This is actually a fossilized creature that resembled a snail, over 65 million years old. It is now a helpful stone which offers a sense of relaxation. It is believed that Ammonite brings stability and order in life, and eases spiritual growth and development. It is useful for professions that require accuracy and analytical thinking. Ammonite is a stone of protection. It provides for insight and it helps to assist one in seeing the “whole picture.” Since it is associated with the Root Chakra, it encourages ones survival instincts and is grounding.

Serpentine is believed to help in releasing negative emotions like fear, anger, and anxiety, promoting inner peace, forgiveness, and self-acceptance. It is also thought to help in healing from past emotional wounds and manipulation.

Vesuvianite is thought to have calming properties, reducing stress and anxiety and promoting inner peace. It's believed to stimulate intuition, creativity, and decision-making.
Vesuvianite is associated with releasing emotional blockages, negative patterns, and past trauma. It's thought to help with feeling safe and grounded, allowing one to process emotions without being overwhelmed.
